This year’s Asian Art Museum Lunar New Year festivities take place on Sunday, February 9, 10:30 am-4 pm. Celebrate the Year of the Rat with performances, such as a lion dance; activities for the whole family, such as art projects from Asian countries that celebrate the Lunar New Year; a reading from author Oliver Chin about the Year of the Rat; the option to have your name written in Chinese calligraphy and more.

Also, don’t miss the San Francisco Symphony Chinese New Year Concert. A family event, it draws on Lunar New Year traditions and takes place at 5 pm, February 1.
